Persimmon Snow-Cone
Updated: Jun 3, 2021

Hello, welcome to the first blog of the December Blog-A-Thon! Christmas is officially afoot! Persimmons are a winter fruit, so I thought it would be fun to turn it into a snow-cone and it ended up being a hit in our family. I'm not a huge fan of persimmons, but I sure do like them in snow-cones. So if your kids don't like persimmons, have them try this. Let's get started:
What You'll Need:
A pot
A wooden spoon
A colander
A container
Ingredients:
2 persimmons
1 Cinnamon Stick
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract (optional)
Milk of your choice
Step 1: Put the water and sugar in the pot and turn your burner on medium-high heat and stir the mixture.
Step 2: Peel and cube your two persimmons and put them in the mixture.
Step 3: Put one cinnamon stick in the mixture.
Step 4: Stir the mixture.
Step 5: Once the mixture starts to boil, put a lid on the pot and simmer on low for 15 minutes.
Step 6: Once the 15 minutes is up, take your mixture off the burner and let sit for 1-2 hours.
Step 7: Pour the mixture into your desired container through a colander.
Step 8: In a blender, blend ice, persimmon syrup, and milk of your choice (I use coconut milk) until ice is all blended up.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
