Pear Cardamom Snow-Cone
Updated: Jun 3, 2021

The Pear Cardamom Cone is a great snow-cone for fall and winter. It has a very distinct flavor that is hard to forget. It may bring back memories of homemade applesauce, or it may just be be a delightful, scrumptious treat to eat... in front of your fireplace. Let's get started:
What You'll Need:
A medium size pot
A wooden spoon
A colander
A container for the syrup
Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 pears, cut and peeled
20 green cardamom pods, pressed until cracked
Step 1: Turn your burner on medium high, and add the water and sugar to the pot. Then stir until the water and sugar combine.
Step 2: Take two pears and cut them into slices, then skin them and put them in the pot.
Step 3: Take your green cardamom pods, and use the bottom of a mug (or something similar), and crack them. Then put them in the pot.
Step 4: When the syrup starts to boil, put a lid on the pot, and turn your burner down to low. Then set a timer for 15 minutes.
Step 5: When the 15 minutes are up, turn your burner off and let the mixture sit for 1-2 hours to cool and infuse.
Step 6: Pour the syrup through a colander into your desired container.
Step 7: Blend ice with the syrup in a blender until the ice cubes are blended. You'll have to experiment with how much syrup you want to use. In my blender, I fill the container almost all the way to the top with ice and pour in enough syrup to fill about 3 inches of the bottom of the container. It serves 5-8 people depending on how much you give each person.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
