Endless Hiker
Gingerbread Kettle Corn

Gingerbread kettle corn is, well, gingery. I thought that it would be better than gingerbread caramel corn because it is healthier and easier to make. It ended up being a hit with my family! I was very happy about being able to make sweet, gingerbread popcorn without it taking me forever to make. Let's get started:
What You'll Need:
A pot with a lid (or a Whirley Pop)
A small bowl, for the gingerbread spices
Oven Mittens
A bowl for the popcorn
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
1/3 cup canola oil
1/4 cup sugar
1-1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Salt, to taste
Instructions:
Step 1: Pour the canola oil in the pot and put three unpopped kernels in as well. Turn your burner to medium heat.
Step 2: While the kernels are heating, mix the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg together in the small bowl.
Step 3: When all three kernels pop, quickly pour the rest of the popcorn in, along with the sugar and spices.
Step 4: Wait 30 seconds, then start shaking three seconds on, three seconds off until the popcorn slows down popping. Once it slows down, take it off the heat.
Step 5: Pour into the bowl and salt.
Step 6: Enjoy!
